School Dances
       1.     At least one law officer shall be present at all school dances thirty (30) minutes before and thirty (30) minutes after the designated hours or until everyone has left the campus.

       2.     Students from the sponsoring organization shall be responsible for reporting any exceptions to these policies to their advisor who in turn will report to the principal or assistant principal.

       3.     There shall be a minimum of one male and one female chaperon for every dance.  For each fifty (50) tickets (or fraction of 50 tickets) sold one additional chaperon will be used.  (A dance for 50 or less would require 3 chaperons.)

       4.     A starting and closing time for the dance shall be designated by each local administrator and announced in advance to parents.

       5.     No passes will be given to leave the dance.  Individuals leaving the dance must leave the campus.

       6.     At least one advisor from the group or club sponsoring the dance must be present at least thirty (30) minutes before and thirty (30) minutes after or until everyone has left the campus.

       7.     The principal or assistant principal must be present at least thirty (30) minutes before and thirty (30) minutes after or until everyone has left the campus.

       8.     No loitering will be allowed on the campus during or after the dance.

       9.     Only students and approved guests will be allowed to attend.

     10.     Schools shall be responsible only for dances sponsored by a school organization.  (A written contract will be required for outside organizations.)

     11.     There will be no alcoholic beverages or other drugs allowed on the premises, including the campus.

     12.     There will be no smoking allowed on school premises.

     13.     Students will be subject to disciplinary action if they are found in violation of any school rules or policies while at the dance.
